I keep communication clear at each stage, from the first conversation through to testing and delivery.
You submit the custom build form or reference a Nova prebuilt configuration. You outline your budget, key games and any specific requirements.
I provide a proposed specification with a full component list and indicative total price. We can refine or adjust this together.
Once you are happy with the specification, components are sourced and a build slot is scheduled. Lead times are shared in advance.
I assemble, cable-manage and stress test the system. When complete, delivery is arranged and key details are reviewed with you.

I created NovaBuilds because I enjoy planning and building PCs that feel considered, not random. I like putting together systems where every part has a reason to be there.
My focus is on strong real-world performance, clean cable management and clear communication. I want you to understand what is going into your system and what you can expect from it.
I also care about how a PC looks on a desk: the case, lighting and layout should match your style as well as your games and applications.
Whether you arrive with a detailed list of parts or only a rough budget and a few favourite games, I will turn that into a realistic, well-balanced build.

How payment works for NovaBuilds PCs.
To keep everything clear and straightforward, I use a simple deposit and balance structure for custom builds and Nova prebuilt systems.
Custom builds
Once we have agreed a full specification and total price for your system, I break this down into the cost of the components, my labour fee for building and testing the PC, and delivery.
- The deposit covers 100% of the component cost plus 50% of the labour fee. In practice, this is usually around 75–85% of the total system price.
- After the deposit has been received, I order the parts specifically for your build and confirm your build slot and estimated completion date.
- The remaining balance (the rest of the labour and any agreed extras) is paid once the system is fully built, tested and ready for delivery.
Nova prebuilt systems
For Nova prebuilt configurations, payment works in a similar way.
- You can either pay in full upfront or use the same deposit structure: full parts cost plus 50% of the labour fee.
- Any small adjustments to the specification and pricing are agreed with you in writing before I request any payment.
Deposits and refunds
- Deposits are used to purchase parts specifically for your build and to secure your build slot.
- Because of this, deposits are generally non-refundable once components have been ordered.
- If anything needs to change after a deposit is paid, I will explain the options clearly and agree the next steps with you before making any changes.
Pricing and delivery
Listed Nova prebuilt prices are indicative and include standard UK mainland delivery. Custom build quotes are also provided as a total price including UK delivery, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Payment methods
Payment is usually made by bank transfer, and full details are provided privately once we have agreed a specification and total price. If you have any questions about payment or deposits, you can always ask before committing to a build.
3-year workmanship support for NovaBuilds systems.
Every PC I build includes a clear warranty so you know what is covered if something goes wrong.
What the warranty covers
- A 3-year workmanship warranty on systems built by NovaBuilds. This covers my assembly work, cable management, operating system installation and initial configuration.
- Labour for fault-finding and repairs on eligible systems is included during the warranty period. If a component fails under normal use, I will help diagnose the issue and support the repair process.
- Support with manufacturer warranties: if a part is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, I will assist with guiding you through the RMA process and advise on the best route to get it replaced.
- Remote help (where possible) for simple software-related issues such as Windows activation, basic driver problems or BIOS updates.
What is not covered
- Accidental or physical damage, including drops, liquid damage, power surges, incorrect mains wiring or damage caused during transport after the PC has been delivered.
- Damage caused by overclocking, unsafe BIOS changes, custom firmware or user-installed software that is unstable or harmful.
- Normal wear and tear, such as fans becoming slightly louder over time, or cosmetic marks that do not affect performance.
- Changes made by third parties, or hardware modifications carried out by anyone other than NovaBuilds without prior agreement.
- Full rebuilds where new parts are required that are not covered by a manufacturer warranty.
Manufacturer warranties
Every component in your system also carries its own manufacturer warranty. If a part fails within its warranty period, I will help identify the issue and guide you through the RMA process with the manufacturer or retailer.
How to get help
- If you think there is a problem, contact me with your name, the build name (or Nova prebuilt code) and a description of the issue.
- I may ask you to run a few simple checks (for example, confirming error messages or trying different cables) to narrow down the cause.
- If a return is required, I will explain the options clearly, whether that is sending the PC back to me or arranging a manufacturer RMA for a specific part.
My goal is that you feel looked after throughout the life of your system. If you are ever unsure whether something is covered, you can ask and I will explain it in plain terms.
